read it, loved it, sent the link to my librarian sister, loaned the book to a mutual friend (who downloaded it and linked it) i'm kind of fond of the original title, but maybe that's just me...

Saw Patti do a FREE poetry reading at St Mark's Church when i was zonked out on lysergic when i was fifteen, and whilst i didn't quite remember WHO she was, i remembered HER

Right away when she hit the CBGB scene i was into her because i was already familiar with her works...and when my boy Pat introduced me to Funkadelic i was already down for it since i was into the Velvet Underground, the Stones, Hendrix and the MC5...MOST Black folk couldn't get into pre-"Flashlight" Funkadelic

Unless you're gay, there ain't no market for Black MALE authors...Amerikkka don't wanna hear about THAT experience...got the rejection slips to prove it

Yeah, one would think that with a black man in the WHITE house there'd at least be a curiosity of what that experience might be---fuck 'em

What'll shock people about this book is that not every cop is a bad cop, Blacks were friends with Jews, and welfare mamas aren't in the baby business for money all of the times.....

Downloaded it, not finished reading it. I'm afraid my recommendation doesn't count for too much - not very many people stop by nikbv these days.

But, if you don't like xanga, why not try a wordpress? I set one up (also nikbv) to give it a look-see, and it seems to be a nice enough town to live in.

We want to hear your experiences, I just don't want to hear the the Black Panther point of view. Not all cops are good, by the way. NOT defending the cops who are in the news in my hometown.

EVERYBODY is SOMEbody's Jew...Black folk used to be more attuned to this when they were all vying to be the next black Moses and identified with the Jews in Diaspora, and hopefully i've captured some of this in the book

Was rapping to this violin player today and told him about THIS BOOK as well as gave him a link to this entry...which from the looks of thangs, he ain't read yet
